While the National Championship delivers its final yield of results and the MIS0^th prepares to sprout to six days of lush competition, another Scrabble tourney is slowly ripening towards fruition.

The Spring League 2017, running from 11 May to 26 June, promises to be every bit as exciting as last year's edition when five-time National Champion, David Delicata (shown left midground of photo) edged Nicky Vella Laurenti in the final by three games to two.

But with reigning National Champion Charles Micallef eager to improve on last year's third place finish, and ten-time National Champion Theresa Brousson seeking to rediscover her best form, this year's Spring League might well surpass all other previous editions in terms of prolonged uncertainty as to who will have the final word.
