E day white clean

It was a feat not managed even by five time National Champion David Delicata, who dropped his opening game to eventual third-placed Sammy Mangion before finding his way to a narrow win on spread over runner-up Moira Fenech.

Winning seven, all seven, games in a row was to be the exclusive cherry on the cake for Anna Borg (shown in photo), who thus won Section B of the St Paul's Shipwreck One-Day Tournament in great style. For the veteran player, the icing on the cake must have been her husband's, Dominic, finish in runner-up spot, with just that one game lost to his wifely opponent. With four wins, Kevin Pirotta was a distant third in this all-in-the-family affair, though a very close one to as many as three players trailing on the same number of wins.

Her pristine performance earns Borg 73 rating points, propelling her up seven places up in the National Rating List, where she now sits in thirteenth position.
