Easking in the warmth of Scrabble

Summer in Malta is a time for outdoor activity and constant and plentiful body hydration. Not the best time of the year to play Scrabble, one would think.

The Malta Scrabble Club will dispel this myth by shedding its customary roof and walls and staging its annual Summer League under a blue Mediterranean sky in the midst of the quiet and tranquil landscape of the King George V Recreational Gardens in Floriana.

Members of the public are welcome to make their way to this airy public venue, enjoying spectacular views of the Grand Harbour, a Kiosk and a playground for children, to meet and observe competitive Scrabble players at play.

The Summer League will run from 4 July till 15 September, with games going on between 5 and 9pm.
