That  7 is a special number is well-known: 7 days in a week, 7 tones in the musical scale etc.. Scrabble is no exception to this numerological fact: 7 tiles on a player's rack, the coveted 50 plus points bonus for playing all 7 tiles in one go. 

The forthcoming competition on the Malta Scrabble Club Calendar, the Sette Giugno One-Day Tournament, adds a couple more elements to the ubiquity of 7, with 7 rounds of Scrabble to be played on 7 June.

Yet another element could be added if a participant got 7 straight wins out of 7 on the day. For anyone who managed such a feat, that would really feel like being in seventh heaven!
